Efficacy of telehealth was improved when used in conjunction with at home monitoring of blood pressure, weight, fetal heartbeat, and fundal height allowing for extended monitoring. Pregnancy care continues past the point of delivery, into the post-partum period. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommend that post-partum check ups are done at most 3 weeks after delivery but on average many wait up to 6 weeks before consultation.
